Tour Overview:

Gothiс quarter

The tour begins by an exploration of the old town, heart of Barcelona, full of beautiful monuments, squares, and narrow streets. You will find amazingly harmonious mix of modernity with Roman and medieval imprints.

Admire some of the city’s most emblematic monuments and buildings, including Plaça del Rei, Santa Maria del Mar and the Cathedral, as well as its smaller hidden treasures and evocative side streets.

Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
Passeig de Gracia and Modernista buildings
Passeig de Gracia’s is a famous avenue and perfect blend of unique architectural heritage and high-end shopping. Learn about the path leading up to this avenue’s status as Barcelona’s Luxury Promenade from your private guide.
Marvel at the surprising façades of Gaudí’s famous houses (Casa Batlló and Milà, also known as la Pedrera).
Las Ramblas
Have a walk on the lively Ramblas, probably the most emblematic avenue of Barcelona, full of bars, restaurants and street artists. In the medieval times it was a small sandy river used as a natural defense at the very limit of the old city walls and nowadays is one of the most lively spots of the city.
Sagrada Familia
The icon of Barcelona and a truly unique experience. Initially intended to be a simple Roman Catholic church dedicated to Jesus, Mary and Joseph, the church ultimately became the most prominent example of Catalan Modernism.
Montjuïc hill
The green Montjuïc (213 metres h.) is the most famous hill in Barcelona. Because of the 1929 World Fair in Barcelona, palaces, pavilions, parks, botanical gardens, sports stadiums, and exhibition rooms were built on the hill. Some of those buildings still remain today and serve as museums. You will discover examples of urbanism and architecture specially designed for the International Exhibition of 1929.
Plaça D'Espanya & International Exhibition 1929
The spectacular neobaroque silhouette of the Palau Nacional can be seen on Montjuïc’s slopes from across the city. Built for the 1929 World Exhibition it houses a vast collection of mostly Catalan art spanning the early Middle Ages to the early 20th century.
The National Palace and the Magic Fountain are the highlights of the area.

Columbus monument & Barcelona Port
One of the most emblematic and characteristic icons of the city is the majestic monument built in in honor of the discoverer Christopher Columbus.
