Tour overview
The route links the Gothic Quarter, Passeig de Gràcia, Sagrada Família and Montjuïc. The order depends on your pickup point, the traffic and your interests. Available: daily.
Gothic Quarter
The tour starts in the Gothic Quarter. A short walk takes you past the Roman walls, the Cathedral and Plaça del Rei.
Eixample
The grid district north of Plaça Catalunya was built to give every flat light and air. You cross its straight avenues by car.
Passeig de Gràcia and Modernista buildings
Casa Batlló and La Pedrera stand between the flagship stores on this avenue. We slow down for the façades and the stories behind them.
Las Ramblas
You drive along the top of the Ramblas and stop where the view is best. The guide explains how a stream bed outside the walls became the city's main promenade.
Sagrada Família
At Sagrada Família we stop at the best exterior viewpoints. Your guide explains the Nativity and Passion façades and what is still being built.

Final stops of the route
These final route points complete the half-day city outline.
Montjuïc hill
Montjuïc (173 m) usually closes the route. From the top you see the whole city, the port and the sea. The palaces and pavilions around you were built for the 1929 International Exhibition; many are museums today.
Plaça d'Espanya & International Exhibition 1929
The Palau Nacional above Plaça d'Espanya was built for the 1929 Exhibition and now holds the national museum of Catalan art. The Magic Fountain sits just below it.
Columbus monument & Barcelona Port
At the bottom of the Ramblas, the Columbus column looks out over the old port. The docks around it became a marina for the 1992 Olympics.
